From the very beginning, the brand has remained deeply committed to the environment, crafting hand-made designs in their intimate rural studio using local natural fabrics—often salvaged from waste—and organic dyes.Through zero-waste patterning, meticulous attention to detail, and gender-neutral fits, LUCIA CHAIN breaks the fashion system by embracing slow production to create timeless pieces built to last.

Sin dalle origini, il marchio mantiene un profondo impegno verso l’ambiente, creando capi fatti a mano nel proprio studio rurale attraverso l’uso di tessuti naturali locali—spesso recuperati da scarti—e tinture organiche.Attraverso cartamodelli zero-waste, meticolosa cura dei dettagli e vestibilità gender-neutral, LUCIA CHAIN rompe gli schemi del sistema moda, abbracciando una produzione lenta per dar vita a pezzi senza tempo, fatti per durare.
About the designer
Born in Buenos Aires, Lucía Chain is a Fashion and Textile Designer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, whose work sits at the intersection of sustainability and art. She holds postgraduate degrees in Sportswear Design (UBA, Argentina) and Fashion Business—a Master’s degree completed at the Istituto Marangoni in Paris through a merit-based scholarship.
Her career gained momentum in 2014 after winning SEMILLERO UBA, leading to the founding of her namesake brand. Following three consecutive shows at BAFWeek, her vision expanded globally, taking her collections to fashion weeks in England, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Finland, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, the USA, Costa Rica, Germany, Russia, and Japan. Her commitment to the environment led Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents to name her one of the “Next Green Talents” in 2018.
Lucía’s work has been internationally recognized through prestigious awards and residencies. Most recently, she was selected as a winner of “Recycle the Runway,” awarded by the Global Fashion Agenda in Copenhagen and Visa UK. A winner of Global Talents (MBFW Russia) and the ITS Best Fashion Film award, she was also a finalist in Alta Roma’s “Who is on Next?” and a semifinalist for the LAFS Pitch. She was also selected as the winner of Fashion Scout’s “Ones to Watch” in the UK and China, and joined the “Designers for the Planet Fashion Hub” at Milan Fashion Week 2025.
Beyond the runway, and with early support from the Argentina Fine Arts endowment, her designs have been exhibited in renowned institutions, including the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo (Sustainable Thinking, Florence), Fundación PROA (Diseño en Acción, Buenos Aires), and as an Artist in Residence at the Fondazione Pistoletto (CIRCULART III). Currently, Lucía continues to redefine the fashion system from her studio in Italy, projecting her work internationally.
Nata a Buenos Aires, Lucía Chain è una stilista e designer tessile laureata presso l’Università di Buenos Aires, il cui lavoro si colloca all’intersezione tra sostenibilità e arte. Ha conseguito specializzazioni in Sportswear Design (UBA, Argentina) e un Master in Fashion Business presso l’Istituto Marangoni di Parigi, ottenuto grazie a una borsa di studio per meriti accademici.
La sua carriera ha preso slancio nel 2014 dopo la vittoria di SEMILLERO UBA, che ha portato alla fondazione del suo marchio omonimo. Dopo tre sfilate consecutive alla BAFWeek, la sua visione si è espansa a livello globale, portando le sue collezioni nelle settimane della moda in Inghilterra, Paesi Bassi, Italia, Francia, Finlandia, Brasile, Uruguay, Cile, USA, Costa Rica, Germania, Russia e Giappone. Il suo impegno per l’ambiente ha portato Vogue Italia e Vogue Talents a nominarla tra i “Next Green Talents” nel 2018.
Il lavoro di Lucía ha ricevuto prestigiosi riconoscimenti internazionali e residenze artistiche. 01. The Atelier: Le Langhe
Our headquarters are located in the heart of the Langhe, in La Morra, Italy. Here, time slows down to make room for precision. Every garment is not born on an assembly line, but from the hands of Lucia Chain, who safeguards time-honored tailoring secrets. Producing locally allows us to monitor every single stitch while minimizing transport-related emissions.
La nostra sede è nel cuore delle Langhe, a La Morra. Qui, il tempo rallenta per lasciare spazio alla precisione. Ogni capo non nasce da una catena di montaggio, ma dalle mani di Lucia Chain, che custodisce segreti sartoriali tramandati nel tempo. Produrre localmente ci permette di monitorare ogni singola cucitura e di abbattere le emissioni legate ai trasporti.
02. The Material: Circular Archives / La Materia: Archivi Circolari
We believe true luxury lies in giving new life to what is already extraordinary. We exclusively use natural archival fabrics sourced from prestigious Italian textile houses. These are high-quality, plastic-free materials discarded by major luxury brands, which we recover and transform into unique pieces. Since we work with limited stock, every production series is unrepeatable.
Crediamo che il vero lusso risieda nel dare nuova vita a ciò che è già straordinario. Utilizziamo esclusivamente tessuti d’archivio naturali provenienti dalle più prestigiose eccellenze tessili italiane. Si tratta di materiali plastic-free di altissima qualità, scartati dai grandi marchi del lusso, che noi recuperiamo e trasformiamo in pezzi unici. Poiché lavoriamo con stock limitati, ogni serie di produzione è irripetibile.
03. The Detail: Crafted or Found Objects / Il Dettaglio: Oggetti Artigianali o Ritrovati
Even our accessories have a story to tell. Mother-of-pearl or handcrafted reclaimed wood buttons, natural yarns, and decorative details are often vintage or second-hand treasures, individually sourced from Piedmontese markets and historic haberdasheries. This choice not only reduces environmental impact but also gives each piece a unique character: no two accessories will ever be exactly the same.
Anche i nostri accessori hanno un passato. Bottoni in madreperla o realizzati a mano in legno recuperato, filati naturali e dettagli decorativi sono spesso pezzi vintage o di seconda mano, cercati uno ad uno in mercatini e vecchie mercerie piemontesi. Questa scelta non solo riduce l’impatto ambientale, ma conferisce a ogni capo un carattere unico: nessun accessorio sarà mai esattamente identico all’altro.
04. The Method: Made-to-Order and Unique Pieces / Il Metodo: Made-to-Order e Capi Unici
Overproduction is the greatest challenge in modern fashion. Our response is the creation of unique pieces and a Made-to-Order model: we cut and sew your garment only after your order is placed. This translates to zero waste, zero deadstock, and craftsmanship dedicated exclusively to you.
La sovrapproduzione è il problema più grande della moda moderna. La nostra risposta è la creazione di capi unici e il Made-to-Order: tagliamo e cuciamo il tuo capo solo dopo che lo hai ordinato. Questo significa zero sprechi, zero scorte di magazzino e una cura dedicata esclusivamente a te.
